July 24, 2007Music on the Monument Continues with FREE Concerts Every FridayMusic on the Monument is celebrating its 5th anniversary of providing FREE summer concerts at Monument Square. Every Friday, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., an outdoor concert features local entertainers.Michael Drake performs July 27Mean Jake performs August 3Enjoy Island music this Friday (July 27) with a performance by Michael Drake. There is a set of four coasters each with a different vintage photo of the Wind Point Lighthouse; the Racine Harbor Lighthouse, the Racine Reef Lighthouse and the Pierhead Light. The second set includes four coasters featuring the Wind Point lighthouse. Both sets of coasters are available for $15 exclusively at the Racine Heritage Museum.It’s Almost Here — Another First Fridays Event in Downtown Racine!First Fridays returns to Downtown Racine on Friday evening, August 3. With blazing guitars and a solid groove, this band provides the best in classic rock, southern rock, country rock, and americana music. They cover a wide spectrum of music including the classic rock of the Beatles and Byrds, the southern rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers and the hot country sounds of Vince Gill.The outdoor concert begins at 6 p.m. Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs and meet their friends and neighbors for a summer evening of entertainment.
