Northern Lights introduces the glass art of Randy Wesner and Marna Glover Kureger.
Randy and Marna have been glass artists individually for the past twenty five years. Recently they have come together, combining their individual skills and artistic ability to create the glass art shown here.
Rooted in stained glass and accustomed to the combining of cut glass pieces to produce an image. Their work now concentrate on the use of color and form to obtain the desired affect. Randy creates his own blend of glass colors through a technique called aperture pour, melting glass through a crucible onto a kiln shelf. Marna uses strip construction and a technique called combing to create linear patterns and designs.
The inclusion of the above techniques into their designs create a sense of movement and excitement, each piece is unique in itself, with surprising affects when a spot of dichroic or a wire-drop is added.
Truly works of worldclass art their collaboration is just beginning to bring the awards and praise their work is so deserving of.

Northern Lights announces Ne’Qwa art glass. Recently introduced in the U.S., Ne ‘Qwa art is the art of painting on the inside of mouth blown glass- an ancient Mandarin art form carried on by the artists that create these works. Each piece is signed and comes in a satin lined box. The fragrance lamps are fully functional and provide all the benefits of traditional fragrance lamps in a Ne ‘Qwa art container.
