On July 19th Northern Lights will hold an opening reception for Photographer Craig Brandt in conjunction with Downtown Racine’s Gallery Night. Craig has made his work unique through the skillful use of artificial lighting. This allows him to highlight areas of an image not possible with natural light alone.

The reception will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Craig Brandt

Photographer Craig Brandt is formally trained as a musician, but it is his eyes that he uses to orchestrate his photography. Craig composes his photographic images as a maestro puts a melody to paper. Each image is music to your eyes, with the subtle use of light he adds dimension to his images similar to a painter using color to add depth where there is none. The highlighted areas come alive when the right amount of light is added, mundane objects become exciting and vibrant colors are intensified. Craig is inspired by the likes of famed photographers Ansel Adams, David Black, and Joe McNally. His desire is to capture those chosen moments in life and make them into exceptional images to be shared with others.
